I Want to Kiss You

by Minna Von Walden

I want to kiss you. His words catching her unexpectedly. Thoughts coming to life in her mind. Thoughts of how his lips would taste, how they would feel pressed to hers. How would his kiss change her? It would, every first kiss changes a person. Sometimes good, and sometimes bad; sometimes equally good and bad. It changes them in ways sometimes unexpected. As unexpected as his statement. She wanted to feel his kiss, to experience it, to know what it would be like to be kissed by him. But, she couldn’t. She likely would never experience those lips. They likely wouldn’t find their way to hers, ever. He was the type of man who wouldn’t stay. The kind to love and leave a woman like her. The kind that would draw her in, let her fall, then walk away. So, she couldn’t, she wouldn’t indulge in that experience. She wouldn’t learn to truly know his kiss.
